The Root Chakra

The first Chakra is our Root Chakra. It works to establish us upon the Earth. It is our connection to stability, grounding, and survival. When we are in utero, our Chakras begin to develop. When we come Earth side, the first 7 years of our life are the most important for the establishment of our Root Chakra energy. In those years we develop our personal identities, who we are in the world, our sense of belonging, and connection to our family beliefs. This Chakra stimulates the endocrine glands of the sexual organs, channeling energy into our reproductive system.

  • Lack of Confidence

  • Low Will Power

  • Depression

  • Lack of Interest in Sex

  • Lack of Grounding

Signs of excessive energy (when the chakra spins too fast) in your Root Chakra can look like:

  • Aggression

  • Sexual Neuroses

  • Dominating Egotism
